    The company and the PAC team are on the rise and we are searching for a new team member – a Protection Automation & Control Engineer with a great sense of humor. We need someone to bolster our engineering and commissioning team in the realms of energy & substation automation, and distribution & transmission grid protection with their expertise. The role entails working on the engineering, realization, and commissioning phases as part of the project team.


    As a Protection Automation & Control Engineer, you will engage in technical discussions with sales and other project engineers within our projects. Reporting to the project manager on progress and technical commitments to customers, you will collaborate closely with the team to prepare technical documents and configure hardware for testing. During the factory acceptance test (FAT), you will assist the customer in system navigation and support the project manager in answering queries. On-site during commissioning, you will address engineering issues and ensure successful site acceptance tests (SAT). Additionally, standby duties are expected and compensated.

    Functie-eisen

    • An electrical engineering background, work experience, and at a bachelor's level.
    • Experience in energy automation is advantageous, but a strong inclination towards energy technology is essential.
    • An understanding of the interplay between energy technology and automation/security is crucial.
    • We seek individuals who grasp the intricacies of energy technology rather than just software automation.
    • Familiarity with Siemens products such as SIPROTEC, SICAM, Ruggedcom, SCALANCE, and Spectrum Power 5, along with their configuration and testing tools like DIGSI 4 & 5, Toolbox II, Device Manager, SICAM PTS, OMICRON test universe, is highly valuable.
    • Preferable IT expertise, with detailed knowledge of SCADA systems' configuration, especially SICAM PAS and SCC.
    • Projects may involve domestic and international travel, so flexibility is key.
    • STIPEL Certification in WV, VCA VL, and NEN 3140/3840 is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Cyber Security is advantageous.


    Arbeidsvoorwaarden

    Primary employment conditions


    • Up to €4200 gross monthly salary
    • 13th month payment, pro-rated
    • 8.33% holiday allowance


    Secondary employment conditions


    • Pension Plus scheme (immediate enrollment)
    • 5% ADV allowance
    • Net €750,- for home workplace setup
    • 25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours
    • Travel, Internet, and home office allowances


    You will be seconded for a year by Yacht, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role at Siemens afterward.
