    As a Workday Finance & Procurement specialist you will support Robeco's finance and procurement teams. This role is located in Rotterdam, but working from home is also partially possible.

    The Business Control & Finance (BC&F) department covers a broad set of responsibilities for all Robeco's corporate entities worldwide. BC&F supports strategy & goal setting, monitor (financial) achievements, participate in M&A projects and provide advice on all financial matters to the Robeco Executive Committee and senior management. Furthermore, BC&F is responsible for the financial reporting to the shareholder, the Supervisory Board and the external supervisory bodies.

    The Global Procurement department is responsible for developing and executing the (Global) Vendor Risk Management policy as well as the Global Procurement Policy with the objective to organize and manage purchase processes with maximum quality, minimal risks and market aligned prices. Related activities performed are, amongst others, verifying all invoices before payment and contracting of external resources (hiring desk) and managing purchase processes.

    Robeco is a global operating company and has a necessary focus on compliance and being in control. Therefore having Workday for standardised and IT supported Finance & Procurement processes is of key importance. Next to Finance & Procurement, we are also using Workday for HR.

    Position & Requirements

    We are seeking a talented and experienced Workday Functional Finance & Procurement Specialist to join our global Workday team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of finance related Workday modules and processes, with a proven track record of successfully configuring, optimizing, and supporting Workday solutions to meet an organization's Finance & Procurement needs.

    In this role it is important to work together with the global process owners to obtain maximum business benefits from Workday. Next to that you will be collaborating with the other Workday specialists, business stakeholders, Workday technical experts (within IT), our Application Management Services partner and Workday. Main processes currently in Workday scope are: Core Finance, Financial Accounting, Expenses, Supplier Accounts, Banking and Settlement, Customer Accounts, Procurement, Business Assets and Consolidation and Workday Help (which is currently being implemented). We also have a broad range of HCM modules live.

    As a Workday specialist you will help Robeco get the most out of Workday by:

  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, analyse business processes and translate them into effective Workday configurations.
  • Implementation/configuration of new Workday functionalities and optimization of implemented ones, in collaboration with process owners and other teams involved.
  • Working together with the teams on improvement of the user experience of Workday.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Workday functionality in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring delivery of Workday releases, oversee their impact on the organization and manage communication/training with regards to incoming changes or new functionalities.
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends and developments in Workday and Finance and Procurement in general.

  • At least 2+ years of experience with configuring and optimizing Workday solutions.
  • Knowledge of Workday Finance and/or Procurement.
  • A proactive and autonomous way of working.
  • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users, both verbally and in writing.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work well in diverse and multinational teams.
