In this role you will be working on the power system of the future. Such a power system includes overcapacity of variable renewables, electrified (industrial, opportunity, algorithm controlled) demand coupled to a hybrid AC/DC transmission and distribution system. With the local team, and the colleagues in Bristol, Barcelona and Oslo we cover several research topics, like development of sophisticated closed-loop testing and validation methods, research on wind farm control, solar predictive maintenance and hydrogen integration. Obviously we cannot cover all aspects of the future power system in detail and the R&D projects develop over time. As we see it now, your main focus will be to find answers to research questions like:
You will be responsible to further develop our existing and upcoming research portfolio in this (power Cybernetic) area as well as for creating new or related services for DNV to position the company for further growth within the power system industry.
We are looking for a senior researcher with the capability to create and lead new R&D consortia, preferably with a background in the field of electrification and digitalisation in power systems.
We offer a position in research and development with access to the worldwide DNV network of R&D in Energy Systems. The R&D position includes the freedom to shape the future projects and direction over time. Through initiation and execution of collaboration projects you will be able to lead DNV into the future of the energy transition.
