    As the Privacy Operations Lead Europe, you will be responsible to lead the Privacy Operations team and coordinate the first line of responsibility on all privacy related matters across Europe to ensure DLL acts in compliance with data protection regulation, protecting sensitive customer data and maintaining the trust of our customers and partners. You will lead a team of Privacy Operations Officers to align activities across all European countries.

    In short:

    • Coordinate and oversee alignment on the Privacy vision and mission for all matters embedding the group privacy framework into the business, complying with GDPR, local privacy laws and the DLL Global Privacy Framework.
    • Lead the European Privacy Operations team to coordinate the ongoing management of the privacy framework and associated projects in consultation with the Global Privacy Office and senior executives.

    Day to day:

    • Direct and align the management and update the local Record of Processing Activity (ROPA) in the global privacy management system (One Trust) working in consultation with the Privacy Operations team, Global Privacy Office, Head of Legal, Head of Operations, Head of Compliance, and other senior managers or subject matter experts to ensure both existing and new services, products or processes comply with privacy obligations
    • Oversee application of the Global Procedure on Data Breach Management to handle and investigate privacy incidents, breaches, and complaints promptly and effectively. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to report and address incidents and mitigate effects of a data breach and apply corrective actions
    • Direct and align the completion of privacy risk and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify privacy risks associated with new projects, systems, or processes in accordance with the Global Privacy framework. Make recommendations for privacy safeguards and risk mitigation measures recommending enhancements to processes and IT
    • Oversee management of all Data Subject requests to exercise rights of access, deletion, objection, rectification, and information
    • Direct maintenance of a data sharing register for all sharing of personal data with third parties
    • Liaise with European and local legal teams to ensure data protection agreements are in place for all data sharing relationships with Supplier, Vendors, Dealers and Brokers
    • Responsible for coordinating review of changes to privacy legislation and lead the implementation of changes required to the privacy policies, statements and practices across Europe
    • Work with the Global Privacy Officer for reporting to, and receiving requests from local data protection authorities and representing DLL in respect of audits, investigations and legal claims
    • Oversee implementation of procedures and amendments to relevant systems to adhere to Global Records Management Policy and Records Retention Working in coordination with business process owners, system owners and legal counsel to manage all records compliantly
    • Creation, delivery and oversight of Privacy and Records Management training and awareness campaigns
    • Direct the compliant transfer of personal data to third countries both internal and external undertaking transfer impact assessments and applying appropriate contractual requirements and implementing supplementary measures
    • Direct the management of all privacy related queries from internal stakeholders and external partners, suppliers, and customers
      • Periodically review the Global Privacy Framework, Privacy Notices, and privacy processes in light of changes in laws, regulatory or company policy and feed into the global review cycle
      • Work with the Europe and local Risk teams to monitor compliance with the Global Policies and relevant regulations by undertaking regular risk reviews.

    Measures:

    Regularly report KPIs, incidents & breaches, regulatory changes, risk issues and exceptions and privacy considerations in EU transformation projects to Senior Management and the Group Data Protection Officer.

    Education and other credentials:

    • A bachelor's degree in law/business preferred but not
    • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT) certification or equivalent qualification in Privacy)
    • Additional certifications in privacy, information security, information management, information technology, business, or related field would be an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • 8-10 years' experience demonstrating an understanding of data privacy and data handling
    • 5 years' experience leading a privacy team.
    • Experience performing privacy and/or security
    • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting
    • Experience drafting and implementing policies, procedures, and processes into an international organization.
    • Experience in the financial services industry, with specific experience in equipment leasing and vendor finance (preferred)

    Technical/Functional skills and knowledge:
