We are seeking a Customs & Foreign Trade Specialist to become part of our team, focusing on Customs, Excise, and Foreign Trade matters for Imperial Brands and its entities. In this crucial position, you will be at the forefront of ensuring operational compliance within the constantly changing regulatory landscape, protecting our business against the growing scrutiny and regulations from authorities. As the Customs & Foreign Trade Specialist, your role is pivotal to our ongoing success and adherence to national and regional legislation, including the maintenance of our Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status.

Principal Accountabilities

• To analyze and respond to upcoming changes in Customs, Excise, and Foreign Trade law for products manufactured in or passing through the Netherlands
• Safeguard the company's tactical and strategic interests
• Support, monitor, and influence legal developments
• Strengthen policies and increase awareness of regulatory customs and trade requirements
• Enhance customs & trade compliance by evaluating processes and adapting to new possibilities or changes in the law
• Advise the broader business on customs and trade regulations for the EU and Dutch markets, and assist the group in customs, excise tax, and foreign trade law matters

Skills and Experience Required

• Proficiency in Dutch and English languages
• Extensive knowledge of EU customs law and tariffication
• Solid background in Supply Chain Management or Economics
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams up to senior management
• Confidence in operating within matrix-style organizations, with both direct and functional reporting lines
• Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of intercultural relationships
