Communications Business Partner — Sustainability

At DLL, sustainability is at the core of our business strategy. Whether it is by helping our partners to achieve their sustainability ambition, financing more sustainable assets, encouraging new circular models, or by accelerating our business in the energy, and food & agriculture transitions. We are looking for an experienced Communications Business Partner — Sustainability to support our Corporate Sustainability Department by setting up, managing, supporting and executing strategic global internal and external communications. You will contribute to building and safeguarding DLL's overall brand and reputation globally, and additionally, you will support internal awareness of DLL updates, projects, successes and more.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of the DLL Corporate Communications team, serving as a resource to ensure clear, consistent, and reliable (Sustainability) communications across the organization and elevate the DLL profile to internal and external audiences. The candidate must be an excellent written and verbal communicator — someone who sees the big picture, but also enjoys the details, and is a team player as well. They will report into the Global Communications Manager Group Functions.

Day to day:

• Lead and execute internal communications activities focused on informing our employee community (we call them "members") and empowering them to reach personal and business goals.
• Serve as a trusted communications advisor and coach to the Head of Sustainability and other assigned business leaders and their management/project teams.
• Team up with the Communications Business Partner for Sustainability, Circularity and Energy Transition to align and secure a joint approach.
• Partner with the Head of Sustainability and related functions to understand their strategies and projects to define strategic communications plans in support of business goals and priorities.
• Advise on and develop executive communications themes and messaging, including speech writing, presentation development and business updates.
• Develop and execute strategic thought leadership programs to enhance the public image of DLL Sustainability and the organization as a whole.
• Create tailored communications materials for a variety of audiences, including but not limited to blogs and vlogs, articles, internal announcements, webinars and customer stories. Support in educating our members on sustainability-related items.
• Regularly monitor and report on the results of communications plans.
• Leverage DLL's "in country" network to cascade messages throughout each region.
• Support regional and global corporate communications initiatives as needed.

• 7+ years corporate communications experience, prior B2B and/or finance experience preferred as well as a track record in Sustainability related topics.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, with specialized focus on (Mass) Communications, Journalism, Writing, Public Relations, etc.
• Strategic approach with a focus on the "bigger picture"— taking separate projects and developing a narrative that connects them.
• Change management experience and skills — able to influence and able to counsel and manage multiple stakeholders independently and effectively.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to facilitate collaboration and teamwork between colleagues across the organization.
• Outstanding (US English) writing, storytelling and editing skills.
• Proven track record developing content for a variety of channels (print, email, PowerPoint, video, web and social media, etc.).
• Resilient — comfortable with fast pace and ambiguity.
• Ability to juggle multiple, high-priority projects simultaneously and rebalance priorities as needed.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint presentation development capabilities.
• Videography and editing experience are a plus.
