An international corporate services company are looking to recruit an ambitious and motivated funds assistant for its office in Utrecht, Holland . Our client's business in The Netherlands, due to continued business onboarding, are looking for the right candidate to assist the fund managers team. The company is renowned by clients for its delivery of exceptional service. The funds department monitors cash flows, verifies ownership and performs oversight duties for (AIFMD) alternative investment funds. This new role will give the successful applicant the exposure to all aspects of the depositary business. You will be an integral part of the team working directly with Depositary Directors and the Depositary team.
Main responsibilities of the job will be to prepare and document the fund manager client and fund onboarding processes. Collect KYC (know your customer) documentation and perform periodic client reviews. Assist in keeping the client entities in good legal order (corporate housekeeping) including monitoring planning, terms and deadlines. Assist with legalisations of corporate documents and power of attorney and assist the depositary officers and compliance officer. Coordinate and minute taking of meetings. Register and maintain client data in the administration system.
To be suitable for this role you must have a HBO or University degree in business, legal or similar. At least three year relevant work experience, from a notary or law firm, trust office, financial services provider or investment company. Have gained prior experience with KYC / AML / CDD work and also with depositary, fund services and investment management is beneficial. Specific knowledge of Wwft, Sanction Act, AIFMD, corporate law and Wft is advantageous. Be a team player, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems and time management with an analytical eye for details. Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
