    We are looking for a part- time Dutch Teacher (0.6FTE) to join our Senior School Leidschenveen campus in The Hague.
    If you are an ambitious, enthusiastic teacher with experience of teaching Dutch from absolute beginner level through to B1/B2 level courses, and you are determined to follow an international school career path, this position is the perfect match for you.

    In the Modern Foreign Languages Faculty at SSL, all students have the opportunity to learn Dutch, French, German and Spanish. We support a range of other languages within the faculty.     The Role:
    We are looking for a qualified and experienced Teacher of Dutch to join our large, friendly and diverse Modern Foreign Languages Department. At the Senior School Leidschenveen, all our students have the opportunity to learn Dutch. We have courses for students from beginner level through to native and near-native speakers. Our students work towards a range of qualifications including CNaVT (Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal) at a range of levels, and IB Dutch Language B (Standard and Higher Levels) and Language A (Language and Literature). As part of this role there is also an expectation of being fully involved in the development of the Modern Foreign Languages Department, sharing the values of life-long language learning, and participating in the running of extracurricular activities.

    Work Experience:
    • Knowledge the British educational systems;
    • Experience of teaching towards a range of qualifications, preferably CnaVT, (awarded by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) and International Baccalaureate courses;
    • Be able to adapt your teaching to meet the international environment of the school;
    • Be confident integrating EdTech into your teaching or be willing to develop these skills.

    De rol:
    Om onze sectie en afdeling te versterken, zijn wij op zoek naar een gekwalificeerde en ervaren docent Nederlands (NT2). Op de Senior School Leidschenveen leert elke leerling Nederlands. We hebben cursussen voor leerlingen op diverse niveaus: van absoluut beginnersniveau tot aan native en near-native speakers. Met het oog op kwaliteit, werken wij met kleine klassen en zijn leerlingen ingedeeld op niveau. Onze leerlingen stomen zich klaar voor diverse kwalificaties, waaronder CNaVT (Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal) op verschillende niveaus, het IB Nederlands Taal B (Standaard en Hoger Niveau) en het IB Nederlands Taal A (Taal en Letterkunde). Als onderdeel van deze functie wordt er verwacht dat je volledig betrokken bent bij de doorlopende ontwikkeling van de afdeling Moderne Vreemde Talen, dat je het levenslang leren van talen op waarde schat en dat je deelneemt aan de organisatie van buitenschoolse activiteiten.

    Werkervaring:
    • Kennis van de Britse onderwijssystemen;
    • Ervaring met lesgeven voor diverse kwalificaties, bij voorkeur CnaVT (uitgereikt door de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) en cursussen voor het internationaal baccalaureaat;
    • In staat zijn lessen aan te passen aan de internationale omgeving van de school;
    • In staat zijn om EdTech in lessen te integreren of bereid te zijn deze vaardigheden te ontwikkelen.
