MSc biology graduate who is driven to provide the knowledge needed to create a healthier world. As a team player, my ambition is to work together to come up with answers to outstanding questions related to health and disease. Looking for a job/PhD in biomedical research, general health or a related field.

I have a broad fundamental knowlegde on biological processes. I have experience in several laboratory techniques such as: qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, seahorse, wound healing assay's, microscopy etc. 

During my master program I focussed on health and disease. During my master thesis, I looked into the effect of pro-allergenic inflammatory responses on barrier function and cytokine production of epithelial cell lines. Under the supervision of Marloes van Splunter, I gained hands-on experience with several laboratory skills and techniques. Such as: cell culturing, ELISA, flow cytometry, migration assays, TEER measurements, and microscopy. This project was graded with an 8.0/10. I've performed my internship within the diabetes research group of the RadboudUMC. My project focussed on the role of adrenaline exposure on immune cell function and metabolism. Via the use of qPCR, ELISA, Seahorse, and CENCAT I investigated the effects of adrenaline exposure on circulating immune cells. This project was graded with an 8.0/10
