    As an Architect Precision Mechanics , you play a vital role in the development of High Tech Systems. Your expertise as an Architect Precision Mechanics involves challenging developments of systems where extreme conditions like ultra-low and ultra-high vacuum in combination with accurate positioning and high speed movements play an important part.

    Your role is essential in contributing to challenging business cases and technical roadmaps from a mechanical perspective and in a multi-disciplinary context. You collaborate closely with the customer, other Architects, the Project Manager, the Account Manager and the rest of the project team, to ensure alignment and synergy.

    Your expertise lies in translating customer needs into specifications, defining the mechanical architecture, budgets, and conceptual designs of (sub)systems. You specify tests and integration requirements to ' close the V cycle '. Ensuring the quality of the delivered product (design) is also a key responsibility.

    In addition, you actively build both internal and external networks, fostering relationships that contribute to the growth and success of the organization. You are at the forefront of introducing new technologies and solutions, driving innovation, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

    You recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • A MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Mechatronical Engineering
  • A proven track record in the field of Precision Mechanics within high-tech system and/or equipment design
  • At least 10 Years – 15 year for the senior role – of experience and expertise in the design of mechatronic and precision systems and equipment.
  • A broad orientation. You know how your mechanical expertise fits in the large multi-disciplinary context.
  • Excellent analytical skills and levels of abstraction.
  • Skilled in the use of various analysis methods.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
