Responsibilities:

·A highly capable member of specialist team of Data Engineers providing 'a single version of the truth' to the business to enable valuable insights into our chosen markets and leverage the true value of our data.

·Be a pro-active member of a high performing culture and ensuring your individual and collective contribution meets the current and future needs of the business.

·Develop, maintain, and operate the routines/pipelines to ingest the data from across the estate, using Azure based Data Engineering technology stack, to form single source of data that enables a data driven culture.

·Develop, construct, test and maintain the databases; data warehouses including the loading and reporting capabilities.

·Develop the systems and processes to manage and integrate the data across the estate.

·Manage the establishment of a robust data infrastructure.

·Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality and data quality remediation experience is desirable.

·Direct more inexperienced members of the team and support them in their tasks and Cross team collaboration

·A record of building strong relationships through collaboration and teamwork.

What you will bring to the team:

·3+ years, with A degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, economics) and experience in a data, analytics or information management discipline.

·Must have proficiency in either Python, SQL or Java.

·Must have extensive knowledge of SQL and RDBMS.

·Must have experience with development and orchestrating pipelines to ingest and process data using Azure Data services – Azure Data lake, Azure Data Factory (Pipelines, DataFlows), Azure Synapse Analytics.

·Must have working experience with Azure DevOps i.e. develop and use build and release pipelines, use Repos to maintain code.

·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·Hands on experience working with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau or similar).

·An organised and flexible approach to work with ability to work on own initiative
