    We are looking for an engineering manager to join our distributed development team. The experience (and future opportunities) includes developing software for navigation systems, working on our online services and mobile SDKs APIs, and providing the best possible user experience to drivers and best-in-class APIs of our Navigation SDK. You will work in a hybrid environment; with the flexibility to work remotely or meet the team at the office. You'll be leading an engineering team of 7-9 engineers.What you'll do

  • Establishing yourself as a credible technical leader in the team's domain.
  • Ensuring effective collaboration between the team and stakeholders, including our product organization.

  • Staying on top of team health as evidenced by sustainable team dynamics and future-proof engineering best practices.
  • Identifying valuable candidates to hire and further grow a diverse, resilient and high-performing team.

  • What you'll need
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Senior-level software engineering background and algorithmic skills, strength in software system architecture.
  • Good interpersonal skills, effective in engaging with and influencing senior engineers.
  • Programming skills in at least one of Swift, Kotlin or Java.
  • Passion to develop and learn engineering management skills.
  • Passion to help others grow and succeed.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Empathy and ability to deeply connect with others.
  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Can-do attitude.

We work on complex code to develop TomTom's Navigation Software Development Kit, integrating technologies provided by other Product Units and enabling our customers to easily build competitive navigation applications. Your code will also be at the heart of TomTom's navigation products like AmiGO, helping millions of people find their way in the world.
