As Talent & Learning Expert you play an instrumental role in shaping the future of learning at ING.

You'll be a key team member within our Netherlands based Growth & Careers team, helping to build and transform learning at ING.

You will be tasked to help execute the growth and development of our people


The team


ING Netherlands's Growth & Careers team is part of the broader Talent & Learning team that ensures we can attract, develop, engage and retain the most talented people and help them grow and develop with ING.

The Netherlands Growth & Careers team enables ING's business strategy by facilitating the development of our people, ensuring they
- and ING- are resilient and future-proof. We focus on delivering a truly engaging, employee-focused career offer for all our people, plus targeted development for key talent segments and create solutions to upskill and reskill as our business evolves. This includes an integrated leadership development path for all levels from first time managers through senior leaders, making sure our leaders stay relevant and leading in the industry.


Reporting to our Talent & Learning Center of Expertise (CoE) Lead Netherlands and functionally into the Growth & Careers Lead Netherlands, you will be working closely with your peers in the broader CoE, your colleagues in Growth & Careers, as well as the HR community including people services and key business domains in the Netherlands.


Roles and responsibilities


As our Talent & Learning Expert Growth & Careers you operationalize the program development on career growth and (leadership) development at ING NL.

In partnership with your CoE peers, you play a pivotal role in bringing the strategy on Growth & Careers to life, by owning the execution, co-design and quality monitoring of our learning offerings in NL, including calendaring and channel ownership of (online) learning programs, making sure there is a timely delivery of effective learning solutions.

You ensure tools and initiatives.

Key CoE activities include, amongst others:
- conducts market research and monitor trends within career and learning solutions;
- designs the approach and calendar of learning offerings, tracks actual spend against budget and forecasts;
- ensures implementation and local adaptation of global solutions in own area of expertise;
- monitors effectiveness and contribution to business success of people solutions;
- provides expert advice and guidance to the organization on Growth & Career related matters;
- informs and educates HR Business Partners and People Services on solutions.

In addition, our Talent & Learning Expert on Growth & Careers will:

  • Partner with our Growth & Careers Lead NL on bringing to life our ING career philosophy and "offer" for employees. Execute a first-class employee experience related to career development, by providing employees access to engaging, effective career management tools, and the opportunity to develop a more diverse portfolio of skills.
  • Under leadership of the Growth & Careers Lead NL, support in the execution of diagnosing, development and implementation of strategic solutions to upskill and reskill as business needs change.
  • Lead vendor brief and selection processes following briefs that have been created to deliver creative and scalable approaches to close current and future skills gaps across the organization. Codesign solutions and programs where needed.
  • Identifies trends and best practices from outside and determines how these can be applied to ING.
  • Uses data, reports and analytics to demonstrate the evolutions and impact of our own Growth & Career offerings.
  • Defines a project plan incl. milestones, deliverables and resource planning and leads the project to deliver against agreed timelines.
  • Identifies and involves the right stakeholders (e.g. HRBP's and People Services) in order to drive the change or implementation effectively. Partners with Change & Execution consultant in the CoE on readiness and impact of delivery.
  • Support in the execution of integrating our principles and targets of Diversity & Inclusion, partnering with our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging & ESG lead on the team.
  • Own and lead process improvements with People Services and other areas of the organization that are related to the delivery of our HR tools and solutions.

  • A bachelor or a master's degree

years professional experience with proven HR / Learning & Development success delivering business outcomes in a corporate matrix organization environment.
