Position overview

:


The Strategic Account Manager for Unilever Europe drives volume, price and value across the full customer portfolio for specific Global customer/s, and develops new sales opportunities in order to grow sales revenues and contribute to margin and profitability increase.

This is a critical position responsible for 30% of the business of the region, and managing the #1 and most strategic customer globally, Unilever.


Key responsibilities include

:


  • Develops a deep understanding of Unilever business in Europe, markets, brands' portfolio and strategy, needs and expectations and Balls competitive position
  • Achieves or exceeds sales targets for Unilever in Europe, as per identified sales strategy and budget directives
  • Owns daytoday business management (forecast, orders, payments etc) and customer relationship. Ensures quick resolution of issues to improve effectiveness and customer satisfaction
  • Supports Director GKA Unilever in the development of the global strategy and the implementation of the joint business plan
  • Owns forecasting and reporting. Provides guidance to production planning through analysis of forecast data for her/his accounts. Communicates variances to plan (assumptions, pricing, volumes) and shifts in strategy appropriately, in alignment with the Director GKA Unilever
  • Coordinates and communicates with various departments, including but not limited to Sales, Manufacturing, Marketing, Customer Service, etc. in order to support customer first objectives
  • Detects opportunities and promotes Ball's capabilities to grow the business through innovation and sustainability. Supports pricing strategy and identifies opportunities to improve margin

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Key account management
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Packaging Industry
  • Sales and daytoday negotiation
  • Account planning and complexity management
  • Customer focus, influencing, problem solving, conflict management and analytical skills
