As a Lending Specialist, you are the commercial and expert specialist within your Client Service Team in the field of business lending and advisor for Midcorp customers with often customized financing issues. Connecting, matching needs and customer approach with a commercial dimension: this is how we like to see you.

Base camp is Amsterdam, however, you can continue to do part of your work from the convenience of home; we adopted a hybrid way of working. Your customers are spread across regions North-West and Central Netherlands. It is important that you are (digitally) visible and accessible for customers and colleagues. That you feel actively involved with customers and that, if the situation so requires, you regularly visit them.

The team

In the Client Service Team 10-15 colleagues from different disciplines work together with whom you take responsibility to exceed customer expectations. With you, this dedicated team is committed to responding to the customer's wishes with a personal, honest and open approach and thus to optimally guide our customers.

As a Lending Specialist, you are the director of the best customer solution. We work with our colleagues from Credit Risk Management, Groenbank, Structured Acquisition Finance, Structured Lending, Commercial Finance & Lease and Corporate Finance on a daily basis.

Role and responsibilities

As a Lending Specialist, you are responsible end-to-end and you are in control of the full credit process. This means that you are responsible for advising, structuring and managing credit facilities. Hands on as you are, you are good at planning and organizing and maintaining an overview of all credit-related issues in the portfolio. In this job you also have the unique opportunity to look behind the scenes at many different companies.

In terms of content and analysis, you are strong in the field of business lending. You are therefore like no other able to translate financing issues into the best advice for customers. You also have the personality and (commercial) skills to engage directly with customers and prospects at different levels, to assess the needs of customers well and to respond optimally from your expertise.

An academic level of thinking and working

Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience with financing issues and business credits For example as a credit analyst or business relationship manager

Experience in structuring financing and writing credit proposals

Knowledge and experience with modeling in Excel

Dutch is the main language of communication, so fluent Dutch in word and writing is essential

Good command of the (business) English language in word and writing

It is useful if you have experience with the sectors that are served within ING Business Banking and if you have knowledge of (commercial) developments within the Dutch banking environment. However, if you are able to make your business your own quickly, we make sure that during your onboarding by your colleagues you are taken into account in the current economic and social developments within the relevant sectors and their structure and organization.

Als Financieringsspecialist ben je de commercieel en deskundig specialist binnen je Client Service Team op het gebied van zakelijke kredietverlening en adviseur voor Midcorp klanten met veelal complexe financieringsvraagstukken. Verbinding maken, behoeften afstemmen en klantbenadering met een commerciële inslag: zo zien we je graag.

De uitvalsbasis van deze functie is Amsterdam echter je kan een deel van je werk vanuit huis blijven doen; we hebben een hybride werkmodel. Je klanten zitten verspreid over Noord-West en Midden Nederland en het is belangrijk dat je (digitaal) zichtbaar en benaderbaar bent voor klanten en collega's. Dat je je actief betrokken voelt bij klanten en dat je, als de situatie daarom vraagt, regelmatig bij ze langsgaat.

Het team

In het Client Service Team werken 10-15 collega's uit verschillende disciplines met wie je samen de verantwoordelijkheid neemt om klantverwachtingen te overtreffen. Met jou erbij maakt dit team zich sterk om met een persoonlijke, eerlijke en open benadering in te spelen op de klantwensen en zo onze klanten optimaal te begeleiden.

Als Financieringsspecialist ben je regisseur van de beste klantoplossing. Wij werken dagelijks samen met onze collega's van o.a. Credit Risk Management, Groenbank, Structured Acquisition Finance, Structured Lending, Commercial Finance & Lease en Corporate Finance.

De rol en verantwoordelijkheden

Als Financieringsspecialist ben je end-to-end verantwoordelijk en heb je de regie van het kredietproces. Dit houdt in dat je verantwoordelijk bent voor het adviseren, structureren en beheren van kredietfaciliteiten. Als spin in het web ben jij goed in plannen en organiseren en behoud je het overzicht over alle krediet gerelateerde zaken in de portefeuille. In deze baan heb je daarnaast de unieke mogelijkheid om in de keuken te kijken bij veel verschillende bedrijven.

Vakinhoudelijk en in analytisch opzicht ben je sterk op het gebied van zakelijke kredietverlening. Je bent dan ook als geen ander in staat om financieringsvraagstukken te vertalen naar het beste advies voor klanten. Ook beschik je over de persoonlijkheid en (commerciële) vaardigheden om op verschillende niveaus direct met klanten en prospects te schakelen, de behoefte van klanten goed in te schatten en daarop vanuit je expertise optimaal in te spelen.

Een academisch denk- en werkniveau

Minimaal 3 - 5 jaar ervaring met financieringsvraagstukken en zakelijke kredieten Bijvoorbeeld als kredietanalist of zakelijk relatiemanager

Ervaring met het structureren van financieringen en het schrijven van kredietvoorstellen

Kennis en ervaring met het modelleren in Excel

Nederlands is de voertaal, dus vloeiend Nederlands in woord en geschrift is essentieel

Goede beheersing het van de (zakelijke) Engelse taal in woord en geschrift

Het is uiteraard handig als je ervaring hebt met de sectoren die binnen ING Business Banking bediend worden en als je kennis hebt van (commerciële) ontwikkelingen binnen de Nederlandse bancaire markt.
