    Job Mission

    The MDEV Design Engineer HMI Mechanical Constuctions drives mechanical design. He or she ensures quality of the design, quality of the TPD and quality of the resulting products. By solid analysis, detailed design and thorough verification technical risks are mitigated. Also, the Design Engineer contributes to the team's plan to have predictable plans.

    Role and responsibilities

    As a MDEV Design Engineer you are responsible for the development and realization of mechanical designs to meet specifications:

    • Be part of the team
    • Take ownership for your designs and resulting documentation.
    • Based upon specification create concepts, designs, drawings including realization and qualification of your design.
    • Uses state of the art design methods and construction principles to ensure adequate and pragmatic designs including DfX and RAMS requirements.
    • Drive the quality of the design by well-balanced concept and design decisions and defining tests including test equipment.
    • Ensures that prototypes are built, and tests are carried out.
    • Delivers the technical product documentation that is needed to release the design for volume production.
    • Provides clear status updates and input for planning

    Education

    Technical University Masters or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree.

    Experience

    • At least 5 years of relevant working experience
    • At least 2 years ASML experience (preferred)
    • Experience with Siemens NX (preferred)
    • Experience with requirements management.
    • In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering.
    • Wide knowledge of mechanics (sheet metal, frames, mechanisms, etc.)

    Context of the Position

    Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification, design and engineering of the ASML products.

    In this sector, the Department Mechanical Development Applications & DFS is responsible for Mechanical Development within the Business Line Applications.

    In this department, the Group HMI Mechanical Constructions & Layout is responsible for FC-033 and FC-020 for the HMI (e-beam) products.

    In this group, the Team Mechanical Constructions is responsible for frames, outer covers and other related mechanics.

    The MDEV Design Engineer HMI Mechanical Constructions reports to the MDEV Team Lead Mechanical Constructions. The Team is operational within Business Line Applications.

    The Design Engineer works together with other Design Engineers, Lead Designers and Architects. He or she provides status updates and reports to the Team Lead and into Main Deliverable Owner(s) and/or Project Leaders(s)
