Functieomschrijving

Basic function of the role is to ensureimplementation of safety rules and regulation at site and to ensurethe effectiveness to achieve HSSE objectives with minimal but notlimited to requirements for an HSE Supervisor:

• Ensure that all work carryout as per MethodStatement and Job Safety Analysis.
• To assist with supervisor to conduct activityrisk assessments for Field work where required.
• To monitor mandatory PPE used atworkplace.
• Ensureimplementation & compliance PTW (Permit to Work) & LOTO(Lock Out /Tag Out) Systems and any process implemented in theproject.
• To ensure properfull-time supervision at site.

Essential Duties &Responsibilities:

• Participatein development of waste minimization and utilizationplan.
• Keep records of figuressignificant for waste disposal documentation and other ecologicalinformation.
• Prepare reportfor hazardous condition.
• Randomly cross check inspection of electrical, mechanical Tools& equipments, lifting gears.
• Assist in the delivery and recording of the siteorientation program for all personnel coming tosite.
• Arrange and participatein site SHE&S training activities as well as coordinate and/orconduct additional project specific employee SHE&S training asidentified through the project training needsanalysis.
• Administer andparticipate in the SHE&S audit and inspection schemes beingapplied.
• Carry out scheduledinspections of all work areas to ensure compliance on the part ofthe Construction Contractor with regard to safe working practicesand application of SHE&S program and ensure field personnel aremonitoring their Construction Contractor SHE&Sperformance.
• Participate inthe investigation of any incident/near miss asnecessary.
• Monitor projectSHE&S status and report daily to the SHE&S Manager onperformance.
• CommunicateIncident Reports and lessons learned to Construction Contractorpersonnel.
• Provide advice inthe development of JSA's.
• Advise supervisory staff and employees in the implementation ofstrategies to identify and control potentialhazards.
• Provide assistanceto site supervisors with Incident investigation and initiateanalysis to discover accident trends and correctiveactions.
• Review projectsafety equipment requirements and reportdeficiencies.
• Review andmonitor Hazardous Materials storage.
• Attend Construction Contractor Start Work andToolbox Meetings.
• Conductsafety / housekeeping inspections. Assist supervisors to resolvehazard issues.
• Liaise withthe project medical facility to provide feedback on first aid andmedical treatments.
• Attendscheduled Project SHE&S Meetings as requested/scheduled.

• Ability to communicatewidely in a clear manner.

• Approachable,tactful, and diplomatic.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work, meeting agreeddeadlines.
• Computer literate-Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power pointetc.) and PC skills.
• Goodcommunication and writing in English, and any additional languagesit would be appreciated, especially Dutch.
• Proficient with email system; Microsoft Outlookpreferred.
• Proficiency withOracle preferred.

Preferred Education/Experience:

• BSc, Engineering Degree, or Diploma orequivalent.
• HSEqualifications, recognized locally or internationally e.g. OSHA,NEBOSH, IOSH, Industrial Safety Diploma governed by respectivenational / state government organizations or proved experience andcompetency.
• VOL-VCAcertificate mandatory.
• 5years field experience.

Physical Strain:

• Manage the workload tocompletion.
• Must be able towork with the team in developing improved work processes for thesite HSSE department.
• Therole will involve several interfaces with all discipline on siteand so the successful candidate will need to be able to managemultiple stakeholders and willing to hold potentially difficultconversations.
