With a passion for technological innovation and sustainable solutions, we continue to push the boundaries in naval shipbuilding.You can be part of our team The role Damen Naval is seeking a talented Lead Technical Specialist - Propulsion and Electrical Systems, to join our team and drive advancements in propulsion and electrical systems for naval projects.
As Lead Technical Specialist - Propulsion and Electrical Systems, you will lead and coordinate a small team of specialists in research, design, proposals, and projects.
You will apply your expertise in maritime propulsion, electrical systems, and energy dynamics to develop creative solutions for complex naval projects.
From initial trade-off studies to system validation during testing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance and reliability of key ship systems.
Guide and prioritize project activities for the specialist team throughout all project phasesProvide technical expertise and creative solutions for multidisciplinary projects, meeting quality, schedule, and budget requirements
Support verification and validation tests during production and warranty phases
Develop and review technical deliverables such as functional descriptions, simulations, and test protocols
Strong collaboration skills with research institutes, universities, vendors, and subcontractors
Proficiency in dynamic simulations using tools like Matlab Simulink
Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal
Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects
