    As aProduct & Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role inensuring that our company's products adhere to all applicablelegal, regulatory, and industry standards.

    Your expertise willcontribute to the safe, reliable, and compliant introduction of ourproducts into the market.

    You will collaborate withcross-functional teams, including product development, legal,quality assurance and regulatory affairs to ensure that ourproducts meet the highest standards of safety, quality, andintegrity.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Stay updated on all relevantlaws, regulations, directives, and standards applicable to themicro mobility industry in Europe. Ensure the company's operations,products, and services are in full compliance with theserequirements ( for example Waste Electrical and ElectronicEquipment (WEEE) Regulations). Interpret and communicate the impactof regulatory changes on our product compliance efforts.
    • Determine the appropriate classification of products based onrelevant regulatory categories and industry-specific requirements.
    • Ensure that products meet safety and quality standards bycollaborating with engineering, quality assurance, and testingteams during product development and production processes.
    • Verifythat product labelling, packaging, and instructions comply withapplicable laws, including warnings, usage instructions, andlanguage requirements.
    • Manage the process of obtaining andmaintaining necessary certifications, approvals, and permits forproducts, such as CE marking, FCC approval, and otherindustry-specific certifications.
    • Conduct risk assessments toidentify potential product-related hazards and work with relevantteams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Maintaincomprehensive records of compliance activities, test results, andcertifications. Prepare reports on compliance status for managementand regulatory agencies.
    • Collaborate with product development,legal, and regulatory teams to integrate compliance considerationsthroughout the product lifecycle.
    • Provide training and guidanceto internal teams on product compliance requirements and bestpractices.
    • Manage and respond to incidents, recalls, or safetyconcerns related to products in a timely and effective manner.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencieswithin the product compliance framework.
    • Provide a day-to-daypoint of contact for compliance queries from our branch offices inEurope.
    • Implement and oversee a best-in-class complianceframework and coordinate reporting and/or ensure local officesreport as required.
    • Act as the main point of contact forcompliance issues as and when they arise in the EU region.Functie-eisen

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevantfield such as engineering, regulatory affairs, quality management,or a related discipline. Advanced degrees and relevantcertifications are a plus.
    • Proven experience (5+ years) inproduct compliance, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or arelated role preferably within the micro mobility sector orconsumer electronics industry.
    • Strong understanding of Europeanregulations and standards related to electric vehicles , emissions,safety, and environmental impact.
    • Excellent communication skillsand ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Ability to maintain strong relationships with management

    • In-depthunderstanding of product regulations, standards, and safetyrequirements relevant to the industry.
    • Strong analytical skillsand attention to detail.
    • Problem-solving ability to addresscompliance challenges and resolve issues effectively.
    • Familiaritywith product testing, quality control processes, and riskassessment methodologies.
    • Technical acumen is required – you mustdevelop a knowledge of all Segway products
    • Proficiency ininterpreting technical and regulatory documentation.
    • Ethicalmindset and commitment to upholding product integrity and safety.
    Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and precision incompliance efforts.

    • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutchand other European languages is advantageous.
