    The senior engineer construction contributes to the realisation of the most beautiful and high quality superyachts, and shares joint responsibilities for the quality and the timely elaboration of final designs.

    This client is a renowned builder of highly customised luxury vessels, combining advanced engineering with craftsmanship. Operating in the high-end maritime sector, the organisation is known for delivering complex, tailor-made projects to the highest quality standards.

    The responsibilities of the senior engineer construction,

    • Working closely with fellow engineers and the Lead Engineer Construction, to whom you report.
    • Being responsible for detail engineering, 3D models, and various project-related data sheets.
    • Focusing on the realisation of engineering for the airframe and related components.
    • Collaborating frequently with engineers from other disciplines, such as Mechanical Engineering, Interior, Exterior, and Special Engineering.
    • Applying and safeguarding the company standards and quality requirements throughout the engineering process.
    • Jointly monitoring and managing the flow of information to and from production.
    • Supporting a smooth engineering and production process to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.

    The senior engineer construction brings,

    • A secondary vocational education (MBO) or higher vocational education (HBO) thinking- and working level;
    • At least 5 to 10 years of experience as a (senior) construction engineer or a similar role, preferably in the ship- and yacht-building industry;
    • Knowledge of the construction process of (super)yachts;
    • An excellent command the English language, both written and spoken;
    • Experience with different CAD-programs, NS, Team Centre, and others;
    • Communicative and coaching skills;
    • The drive to motivate and inform your team and keep them up to date;
    • The eligibility to work in the Netherlands, either as an EU citizen or with a valid work permit.
