    Role Overview:


    We are seeking a dynamic and creative Sous Chef to join our culinary brigade, working under the guidance of our Executive Chef.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Assist in leading our culinary team, nurturing a culture of passion, creativity, and excellence in food preparation and presentation.
    • Mentor and support a team of 18 chefs, promoting teamwork, discipline, and professional development in a fastpaced kitchen setting.
    • Collaborate in the menu development process, contributing innovative ideas and ensuring dishes are culturally relevant and ontrend.
    • Possess a thorough understanding of South American culinary traditions, creatively incorporating these elements into our menu.
    • Participate in menu costing and pricing to ensure both profitability and exceptional quality.
    • Manage kitchen operations effectively, ensuring seamless service during peak dining periods.
    • Uphold stringent food safety and hygiene standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
    • Facilitate ongoing training and skill enhancement for the kitchen team.
    • Support recruitment efforts to build a highly skilled and motivated culinary team.
    • Engage in ingredient selection and supplier relations, ensuring the highest quality and freshness.
    • Manage kitchen inventory efficiently, aiming to minimize waste and optimize operations.
    • Stay informed about culinary trends and innovations, integrating relevant ideas to enrich our dining experience.

    Requirements

    - Proven experience in a Sous Chef role, ideally in high-end or South American cuisine restaurants.
