Day in the Life of a Test Engineer

In this position, you will be supporting the Fluke Netherlands BV – Automation Team in creating automated procedures, answering technical queries, occasionally supporting the Fluke Netherlands BV Laboratory in performing calibrations on all kind of test and measurement products at traceable and accredited levels, and

The Automation Team supports Fluke SSO EMEA which enables the laboratories to produce good results for our customers, we target to have 95% of all repairs and calibrations back to the customer within 5 working days.

Responsibilities

• In this role, the engineer will be required to write software in MET/CAL to automate the calibration processes of a device.
• The procedures will be written in accordance with the published documents by the manufacturer or their own written frameworks. The software controls the Calibrators and gives the operators instructions. The specifications are programmed in the procedure and check if the unit meets the published specifications.
• Specifically writing calibration and verification procedures in Met/Cal. For Electrical, High Voltage, RF, Pressure, Temperature, Infrared, Torque.
• Support in-house calibration laboratory.
• Providing online support to the onsite calibration team in EMEA.
• Providing direct support onsite calibration team at customer sites in Europe.

Your Team

In the Automation Team, we have 6 metrologists who support Fluke SSO EMEA. The team is based in Eindhoven where we have technicians of all kinds of nationalities, it is a great team that with the help of a strong logistic team is managing strong growth and increasing customer satisfaction.

Experience

• MBO/bachelor's degree - Electronics/ Telecommunication/Mathematics
• Experience in test & measurement
• Software skills – (Excel/MetCal/Labview) – programming skills
• Megatronic experience, Robots
• Problem-solving skills.
