• Senior Structural Engineer
• Location Breda, The Netherlands

Mammoet offers you, as Senior Structural Engineer, a challenging position within an international, dynamic, and ever-changing organization. With your vast in-depth technical knowledge and experience in the design of heavy lift equipment, you are the structural specialist within the team. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you are part of our multi-disciplinary engineering department within Mammoet. You support the department and other engineering departments by making and checking complex calculations and provide advice about structural challenges. Within Mammoet you are the link between the (technical) preparation and implementation on a project.

From your role as Senior Structural Engineer, you have the opportunity to make an important contribution to local, regional and global projects. Your technical knowledge, analytical ability and heavy lift experience play an important role in this.

• provide guidance and further develop Engineers within the team;
• preparing structural calculations of new and existing equipment by means of conventional calculations and FEM;
• designing new structures and equipment (modifications) in cooperation with concept project engineers and other disciplines, such as mechanical, hydraulics and electrical;
• check and approve engineering documents, verify if the right methods and/or equipment have been used;
• liaising with internal and external clients to ensure the requirements are met;
• preparing design bases and specifications for new projects and designs.
• Manage a drafting team to visualize your concept or design
• Response on TQ from fabricators
• Feasibility check of installation methods

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Automotive Engineering;
• 10 years of broad and deep structural engineering experience in the heavy lift industry;
• Ability to check and write technical reports and presentations, as well as presenting calculations and analysis results.
• Advanced understanding of heavy lift equipment and operations;
• Good written and verbal English communication skills;
• To be open and communicative;
• Computer skills must include AutoCAD, FEM Software (preferably SCIA Engineer and/or Ansys) and Microsoft Office.
