- Will manage the purchases of soybeans from cooperatives, elevators, traders.
- Utilize the knowledge of your product portfolio, the agricultural crops, and the market itself.
- Understand the hedging policy and become an expert in market dynamics.
- Select and approve suppliers and set up a long term procurement strategy.
- Work out sourcing opportunities to secure the supply/ generate savings.
- Translate industrial needs and quality requirements in practices towards suppliers.
- Lead and/or be part of regenerative agricultural projects within your category.
- Manage 1 direct report.
- Translate the company's procurement strategy into well negotiated commercial, legal agreements with the related suppliers
- Build and maintain long term cross-functional interfaces between division and local entities
- Escalate key informations to production and quality to ensure processing feasibility
- Build a cost efficient planning for production
- Identify and develop programs for soybeans
- Owning your category spend and be able to act as counterpart of finance when it comes to the total cost of your raw materials
- Manage major projects that improve procurement processes and cost reduction programs in order to lower the total cost by continously improving delivery accuracy, lead time and stock reduction
- Accurately report on the agreed KPI's and recommend appropriate action when needed
- Hold a Master's degree, preferably in a commercial, agricultural or food science direction.
- You have + 5 years of experience in procurement.
- You speak French and English .
- Knowledge and experience of world-class category management and sourcing practices from one or several world-class companies.
- Strong commercial and business acumen and negotiation skills.
- Strong results-orientation and proven track record of consistent outstanding performance and results delivery.
- Strong ability to lead, influence, collaborate, and effectively engage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proactive and action orientated. Can make things happen regardless of obstacles.
- Presence to engage effectively with senior supplier stakeholders.

As Sr. Global Plant-Based Buyer you'll be working for our Alpro Brand and stationed in Hoofddorp. You manage autonomously all supplier relationships between the suppliers within the assigned portfolio of Soybeans and Danone internal stakeholders, in order to find the best total cost solution by balancing price, quality and delivery.
