For one of our customer we are in search for several Design Engineers for challenging shipbuilding projects.

For longterm opportunities we are in search for design engineers within:
Integrated Logistic Support / Naval Architecture / Electrical & Automation / Marine Engineering / Combat systems.

As Design Engineer, you will develop design solutions into a set of requirements during precontract activities.

You will perform (sub)design tasks within the technical team of a tender under the direction of the Tender Manager or Discipline Manager.

Drafts reports and specifications and collaborates closely with colleagues within and outside the tender.

Key accountabilities
As Design Engineer your key responsibilities will include amongst others:

Perform design and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Contribute to requirements analysis, concept generation, general system architecture, system design specifications, identification, evaluation of design options and support RFQ processes and evaluations.

Write technical documents, equipment specifications, contract specifications, and reports, effectively communicating complex concepts and data. Facilitate communication with stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on technical solutions. Participate in discussions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on technical aspects of proposed solutions. Support cost evaluations provided by suppliers and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with internal departments to optimize project outcomes.

Skills & experience
To excel as Design Engineer, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

Bachelor or Master degree in one of the related fields. Minimum five years of experience, preferably in complex shipbuilding projects. Expertise in a variety of design concepts and practices, including technologically advanced design and proposal processes. Good command of the Dutch (preferred) and English language both written and verbal. A pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure. Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required
