    The LDPC will drive compliance with data protection policies and procedures within the country and supplement them as needed to comply with local legislation. This position will foster data protection culture, advise and train staff involved in data processing. The LPDC will be the point of contact for all data protection matters with Group DPO and local business referents, local supervisory authorities and data subjects. This role is also responsible for coordinate response to data protection events and issues. He/ She should keep the records updated and support local business referents with carrying out data protection impact assessments, and maintaining privacy by design and by default in all data processing. The LDPC will take care of all day to day data privacy related tasks, inclduding reportings.

    The LDPC will report into L&C Local Counsel with a dotted line to Global DPO (for Data Protection related matters).

    Responsabilities:

    • Support L&C Local Counsel
    • Review and draft legal documents (e.g. services, purchasing, sales agreements, etc.)
    • Conduct searches or reserach
    • Perform due diligence on contracts and business agreements
    • Perform company searches
    • Draft letters of engagement
    • Co-ordinate meetings between Legal and business stakeholders
    • Deal with invoices from external lawyers and liaise with local Finance
    • Ensure contracts and business agreements are signed
    • File and archive legal documentation
    • Attend meetings as needed
    • Assist with projects and co-ordinating actions

    Requirements

    • Legal background with experience in a law firm or an international setting
    • Data privacy and/or compliance experience strongly recommended
    • Understanding of EU and local data protection law
    • 3-5 years of PQE is recommended
    • Fluent in Dutch and Highly Proficient in English
    • Good level of independence
