At the location of ADM Europoort B.V. we process soybeans and rapeseed. We make various products from this, such as flour and oil for the food and animal feed industry.

More than 325 people work at ADM Europoort in the bulk terminal, crush & extraction factory, refinery and soy protein concentrate (SPC) factory.

These departments are supported by our own chemical and microbiological laboratory, maintenance & reliability department and the SHEQ department. We also work closely with our in-house contractors who provide (industrial) cleaning, scaffolding, insulation work and technical support.

The ADM Europoort office also houses large commercial and logistics departments, process automation and CAPEX project management teams; as well as departments for payroll, HR and IT.

Logistic Medewerker B

The role
An opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Officer (
Logistic Medewerker B) role in Europoort, the Netherlands.

The ADM Europoort Oil logistics department focuses on logistics flows of vegetable oil and biodiesel products sold by the trading department.

The Logistics Officer takes care of the complete coordination and settlement of in
- and outbound flows (logistics planning, documents / transport / complaints). The Logistics Officer is involved in contracts, quality, delivery requirements and transportation documents for both ADM Europoort-Rotterdam and other ADM locations. This vacancy is for the Execution/Logistics Oils team.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• Contract knowledge of purchase, sale and freight contracts
• Checking the order on contract conditions, already settled quantities and stock positions
• Create, make and present shipping documents to counterparts; checking documents from third party suppliers
• Followup on payments, demurrage or other issues and escalating when required
• Creating nominations to the counterpart/ships agents/surveyor/lab/storage facility
• Manage the commodity position for vegetable oils, both paper (strings, tenders, circles) and physical (deliveries as per Incoterms)
• Maintain contact with the counterparts, service providers
• Maintain contact with the plant/refinery
• Ensure correct settlement with counterparts
• This role may require participation in an oncall duty.

Your Profile

• Bachelor degree is nice to have but not a must; HBO analytical thinking level
• Very good communication skills
• Dutch language is nice to have and English is a must
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and you know how to handle other daily software programs
• Ability to understand complex administrative and logístical processes, logistic procedures,

documents, contracts and contract positions; Incoterms knowledge is preferred

• Team player
• Show your initiative, identify defects and take immediate action
• Accurate and can handle details well
• Logical thinker, setting up priorities.
