MedApp is a daughter company of Redcare Pharmacy and part of the wider Redcare Pharmacy group, leading our Netherlands medication management mission

At MedApp, we are reinventing the role of the pharmacy. We believe that better patient care goes hand in hand with digitization. We combine the quality focus of healthcare with the customer focus and efficiency of the e-commerce market. We support this through superior tech that we develop in-house. Every day, we face operational challenges due to a rapidly growing customer base and processes that need to match. There is still a lot to be digitized in healthcare, so there is also a lot of work to be done in collaboration with our partners.

As COO, you lead all operational teams. Our tech department also reports to you. You report to the CEO and play an important role in the Management Team. You develop growth plans, direct operations to achieve annual goals, and focus on long-term objectives. You will utilize your analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset & drive to optimize processes, improve business results, and increase employee and customer satisfaction.

Who are we?

Approximately 8.5 million people in the Netherlands have a chronic disease. More than 2 million of them use 3 or more medications a day. This of course has a major impact on their lives. MedApp would like to make the lives of these medication users easier with personal attention and solutions. To realize this, MedApp lets customers digitally manage everything around their medications in one app that is linked to our own fast-growing pharmacy. Literally the pharmacy in your pocket, in other words, but right away on a national scale. This is how we increase therapy compliance for a large group of people, improve the quality of life and contribute to keeping healthcare costs under control. Step by step, we realize our mission by making complex medicine use easier.

What will you be doing?

• As COO you are ultimately responsible for the operational vision and strategy that contributes to the goals to be achieved that will make MedApp the market leader in the Netherlands;
• On a daily basis you will manage the team leads in the operation and coach them to become better and better in their leadership role;
• Monitor targets and intervene where necessary by using new projects to improve the business;
• Challenge the tech team and position them to best support the business;
• Align targets and resources during the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) cycle;
• Enrich the organization on a commercial level by challenging the CEO and marketing team to explore new trends and opportunities that further accelerate growth;
• Working with the MT to grow MedApp into an undisputed market leader;
• Exceed the AOP's P&L goals by working with the MT to find solutions that open new doors.

What do we need from you?

• Multiple years of experience in commercial and operational leadership roles within a fast-growing, dynamic environment with a strong affinity for (e-)pharmacy and/or pharmaceutical wholesale;
• Proven track record in driving the P&L and taking responsibility to achieve the issued target together with the MT;
• Leadership mindset with proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, as well as coaching and leading team leaders with a hands-on mentality;
• Excellent Dutch and English communication and negotiation skills;
• You are willing to work from the MedApp headquarters in Eindhoven.
