    This Global Plant-Based Food Brand is looking for a interim payroll expert who is able to join the team and immediately help with their payroll processes. In this position you can work mostly remote, however the onboarding will be taken place at the office.     Job Description Interim Payroll Specialist

    Here in Amsterdam they are responsible for the payroll of the following countries: the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Prepare/validate all schedules accurately to deadline and submit to payroll provider, ensure that each stage of the payroll process is properly actioned;
    • Verification & reconciliation of payroll for each country in each pay cycle ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, on time and in full. All post payroll reporting are validated/distributed as appropriate (e.g. GL, benefit providers, all statutory bodies);
    • Prepare payroll payments (net salary, statutory compliance, benefits providers, unions, etc.), ensure payroll funding is in place and timeline are met;
    • Year-end tax filing and other payroll tax activities as required in the country/region, including act as point of contact for the income tax authorities in liaison with the Head of Tax;
    • Identify process deficiencies or control issues, implement improvements, and ensure ongoing compliance. Proactively liaise with payroll provider to maximise service and benefits from them;
    • Respond to and resolve associated queries as requested by local HR or employees and other ad hoc duties as required by the role;
    • Participate in any projects relating to the future development of the Payroll/HR function;
    • Manage Purchase to Pay process related to payroll vendors.

    Requirements

    Requirements Interim Payroll Specialist

    • You have an degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or Business Administration;
    • You have prior experience in payroll running all aspects of a payroll function;
    • For this role, you need to have experience with working in a high complex international environment (for NL 30% ruling application etc.);
    • You are able to work autonomously, to solve problem and to demonstrate operational and strategic skills;
    • You have solid computer skills: proficiency in Excel is a must, experience with V-lookup and pivot tables is a plus. Also, you have strong mathematical and analytical skills;
    • You are able to multi-task, and to work under tight deadlines with flexibility.
