    We are a leading company in the international protein supply chain with our head office in Zoeterwoude, the Netherlands Originally Zandbergen is a trading company who imports and exports meat and meat products. Since 2018 we added plant-based products to our assortment and one year later we also started to produce Beyond Meat products in our production plant "The New Plant".

    We are a sourcing partner for food manufacturers, foodservice and retail. Our animal based protein products mainly come from North- and South-America, Australia, New-Zealand and Thailand. We have customers all over Europe and the United Arab Emirates.

    International Account manager (Plant-based food – Italy)

    Vacancy – Zoeterwoude – Fulltime (32 – 40) – Zandbergen World's Finest Meat for the brand Beyond Meat

    Your challenge as an Account Manager protein based food Italian Market

    You will be responsible for the sales within our plant-based team for the Italian market by maintaining and expanding your customer portfolio / accounts. The balance between managing relationships and new business is (currently) about 50/50 and your goal is to acquire so many customers that you will mainly manage relationships.

    You will collaborate intensively with our other business units to ensure that orders and projects are handled optimally and correctly. Currently, Beyond Meat is our largest plant-based brand, with which we have the exclusive partnership to produce, sell and distribute for the European market.

    You conduct market research, collect and interpret information which you apply for your sales activities. Together with the sales team of the brands we represent (Beyond Meat and Good Catch), we aim to expand the distribution of these products in the market. As a plant-based ambassador on behalf of our company and our plant-based brands, you will visit international food fairs and go to see your customers about 3 times per year.

    We are open minded when it comes to your education and/or experience as in our opinion your personality, motivation and skills combined, will make you successful. As a person, you are driven, goal orientated and of course you have commercial skills. You are willing to travel within Europe to visit customers and food fairs. Of course, sales experience in the FMCG industry is preferred. Ideally, you are looking for your 2nd job, but more experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.

    Your colleagues

    You will be part of the plant-based international sales team containing 8 colleagues with diverse backgrounds in regards of experience, education, nationality and age. We work intensively together where we help each other and share information regarding market developments and current pricings. You will report to the sales manager and the companies whose brands we represent.

    You will be successful if you manage to increase market share and brand awareness within Europe. Of course, being a team player is also important to us and will help you to become successful.

    Offered

    In the future, it's possible to grow into the role of Account manager Southern Europe and also be responsible for countries like Spain and Portugal. Then you will have to travel more frequently.

    We will have several new products and projects because we are an innovative and at the same time experienced company with a solid customer base.

    You won't be judged on short-term sales, but on managing long-term relationships, as we are a service focused company. You will be part of a successful company with a great team who appreciates working at Zandbergen. And the numbers prove it Although the average age is under 40, 45 of our 125 employees have been with Zandbergen for more than 12.5 years.

    Practical: Salary: € € 4.000 gross per month. You will work from our office in Zoeterwoude. Of course, you will be offered a bonus (performance based). It is possible to work 32, 36 of 40 hours per week. Finally, once a month, you get the opportunity to receive a (plant-based) meat parcel with some of our products.
