    Global External Relations Director :

    Leading the media relations desk for Philips, a company listed on Euronext Amsterdam and NYSE, you will take end-to-end responsibility for planned strategic communications including financial results and play a key role in driving forward the transformation of our External Relations team in close partnership with the newly-appointed Head of External Relations.

    Your role:

    • Building connections and trust with key media contacts, with a particular focus on the Dutch media landscape and English language global business media
    • Work closely with Philips' CEO, CFO, Investor Relations and other Group functions to manage financial announcements, including earnings, M&A, Group announcements including strategic updates and partnerships.
    • Bolster Philips' reputation by securing regular, planned briefings and media engagements for key senior spokespeople.
    • Play a senior leading role in developing and running integrated reputation campaigns using a range of digital tools and partnerships to tell captivating stories at the speed of news.
    • Maintain and evolve our busy issues and crisis response processes and play a hands-on role in issues response as a senior member of the team.

    You're the right fit if:

    • A team player who is eager to learn and embrace new channels, partnerships and content formats as we transform our communications ecosystem.
    • You have 10+ years of experience in communications and media relations and are passionate about reputation-building and issues management communications.
    • Experience of financial disclosures for a listed company.
    • Proven company spokesperson experience in Dutch and English, particularly with respect to financial disclosures, and with deep knowledge of Dutch business media. Fluency in both Dutch and English is required.
    • You are a strong communicator able to develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with business goals, as well as leading their implementation, including hand-on work at a high level of quality.
    • Experience in handling corporate issues and strong stakeholder management skills: engaging, aligning and managing expectations.
