    Cycas Hospitality is looking for a DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS for THE NETHERLANDS portfolio.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The ultimate focus of this role will be to provide unparalleled operational leadership and mentorship to the entire Cycas Hospitality Netherlands Portfolio. As a member of the Operational Leadership Team, reporting into the Chief Operations Officer (COO), they are responsible for overseeing the portfolio and working with the General Managers and corporate support teams to ensure the hotels reach their full potential in the areas of revenue generation, operational management, associate engagement, guest satisfaction, and asset value enhancement. The Regional Director of Operations provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that each property has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the business and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The Regional Director of Operations maintains effective relationships with (property) owners and conducts regular business reviews This person generally works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes in alignment with broader company objectives.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE:

    • Significant knowledge and senior management experience in one or more hotel management disciplines
    • College degree and / or relevant experience generally required.
    • Minimum 10 years progressive work experience in the hotel industry with focus on Operations, stakeholder management and a high degree of Commercial experience.
    • Proven experience in understanding HMA and leased contracts, presentation skills, operations budgets and capital budgets is essential.
    • Change management - must have the ability to support, manage and initiate change within the organization, taking steps to remove barriers and to accelerate pace of solution implementation.
    • Experience evaluating business trends, developing and successfully implementing new business programs and strategies that enhance multi­unit business performance.
    • Has experience with brand compliance audits and is able to build strong relationships with the different brand representatives
    • Successful track record of creating positive and trusting owner relationships.
    • Hybrid role, able to vist Dutch hotels on a regular basis.

    Specific Expected Contribution

    • Leads new openings, take-over and conversions
    • Responds to complex or ambiguous situations without losing focus of key hotel objectives.
    • Together with COO, consistently recognizes and rewards outstanding associate performance in improving area's hotels performance and customer satisfaction.
    • Plays role in continually developing and attracting new diverse, high-caliber talent that makes a strong positive impact on the organization.
