    Main Duties & Responsibilities:
    The Mechanical Design lead main responsibilities are threefold:
  • Provide appropriate governance to design, development and delivery of mechanical systems
  • Provide leadership to the mechanical team
  • Facilitate efficient and effective cross discipline working The position will work closely with Engineering Management, Engineers, Project Management, Engineering Quality, Customer Applications and other functional teams. They will facilitate the mechanical team to deliver products to appropriate technical standards by provision of suitable and sufficient governance.
    • Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include, although are not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for mechanical engineering release of the products in semi capital equipment range
  • Drive to convert functional requirements into design
  • Provide a strong interface with other functions and teams globally
  • Support continuous improvement of relevant systems and procedures
    • Essential:
  • Expertise in NX for D models and drawings.
  • Hands on experience in NX best practice.
  • Mechanical- Semi S and S knowledge
  • Experience in Electromechanical Design Engineering for Semiconductor Domain
  • Experience in Designing Machining parts, Assembly, Sheetmetal
  • Good skills in D concept development, D development drawings a must.
  • Understand the customer requirements and suggest alternative feasible concepts.
  • Complete ownership of projects assigned and able to interact with stake holders to get signoff.
  • BOM preparation, Manufacturing drawings & Drawing standard knowledge.
  • Knowledge of PLM/PDM tools – Teamcenter, SAP
  • Strong knowledge in GD&T, Tolerance analysis
  • Knowledge in Engineering Change Order Process & expertise in basic mechanical OEM parts/hardware selection.
  • Experience leading engineering team and projects
  • Experience of engineering estimation and planning
  • Time management & prioritization skills
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering theory including DFMEA
  • Understanding of hand calculations and FEA
  • Degree (BE/BETCH) in relevant engineering field
