    Our client based in Rotterdam has been setting the standards for analyzer solutions since 1981. They are known for their expertise in providing top-notch instrumentation solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead 3 specialized teams, comprising a total of 19 full-time employees.

    Functieomschrijving

    Join us as a Manager Chemistry and take the lead in overseeing 3 specialized teams (19 FTE in total) dedicated to the development of high-quality gas chromatographic systems. Your main responsibilities will include guiding and supporting your team members, ensuring they have the optimal conditions to work efficiently. As part of this role, you will also be hands-on, tackling complex analytical challenges using your expertise in analytical chemistry and gas chromatography. Your key tasks will involve:

    • Providing strategic direction, vision, and leadership to your team through coaching, development, and performance evaluations
    • Assessing workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layout for enhanced efficiency and safety
    • Estimating production timelines, staffing needs, and associated costs to support management decisions
    • Leveraging statistical techniques in process development to guarantee product compliance
    • Implementing process and product enhancements to streamline production, reduce costs, and enhance quality
    Functie-eisen

    To excel in the role of Manager Chemistry, you will need:

    • A Bachelor's degree (HLO) in analytical chemistry coupled with at least 5 years of relevant experience, along with 2 years of project leadership
    • Proven expertise in technical analysis, including statistical analysis, process enhancement methodologies, and quality assurance principles
    • Familiarity with new product/process introduction methodologies and reliability standards
    • Prior experience and knowledge of LEAN principles is highly advantageous
    • Proficiency in IFS or other Oracle-based ERP systems (Preferred), and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
    • Technical knowledge of laboratory equipment in the petrochemical sector is a bonus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for effective interpersonal interactions and presentations
    Arbeidsvoorwaarden
    • This is a long-term position, initially offered on a one-year contract directly with the company
    • Competitive salary ranging from €6000 to €6600 gross per month (based on full-time employment)
    • Full-time role (40 hours per week)
