- To lead day-to-day operation of the Site Production plans in OSS to ensure that targets relating to EH & S, quality, volume, cost, efficiency are met
- To establish consistent high standards across the shifts for all aspects of plant operations, including operator job performance, plant performance, plant housekeeping, health, safety and environmental performance, plant maintenance, consistent application of the Golden rules, production and inventory control, plant reliability improvement
- Liaise with all parties on day to day engineering, production and process issues. Assist in the scheduling of maintenance to keep the plants operating smoothly and safely based on intimate knowledge of the condition of the plant.
- To work with the Team Leaders to assist with training, encourage development, coordinate succession planning and undertake validation of operator competency
- To provide clear written and verbal instructions and communications to allow Team Leaders to lead their teams effectively and provide timely feedback to operator's and Team Leaders' questions, ideas and suggestions.
- Ensure that outcomes from our safety management system and any group Lessons Learned are communicated to the Team Leaders
- To work with the Engineering department to identify and work towards reducing/removing plant bottle necks.
- Develop and implement Performance Dialogues
- Lead the daily production/maintenance planning meeting
- To ensure work tasks are distributed evenly across the shift teams
- Ensure business and R&D developments are communicated to the shift teams
- Ensure SOPS/MI's are current and reviews are distributed evenly across the Shift teams for review
- A higher professional education (HBO) degree in business or technology
- Must have previous man management/supervisory experience within a chemical or process related field
- Knowledge of administrative (ERP) and operational processes and legislation and regulations
- Experience with safety management systems
- Knowledge of quality systems (ISO)
- Dutch and English written/speaking essential
