    We're looking for a Head of Commercial to join our team in Poeldijk, Netherlands

    Drive strategic commercial growth for our fresh produce and value-added business by spearheading new business development, market expansion, and sales strategy across diverse sectors. Navigate our expansion into new regions, while maximizing opportunities within the Netherlands. Lead a dynamic sales team to commercial success, crafting impactful strategies and securing profitable contracts. Collaborate closely with internal teams to prioritize operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and building strong client relationships. Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering career development and a positive work environment.

    • Drive commercial growth: Lead new business development, market expansion, and sales strategy across diverse sectors.
    • Expand market reach: Champion entry into new regions like Nordics and Eastern Europe, while maximizing Dutch opportunities.
    • Forge profitable partnerships: Develop impactful sales strategies, negotiate lucrative contracts, and manage key client relationships.
    • Stay ahead of the curve: Conduct in-depth market research, analyse data, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Manage the commercial budget: Effectively control and manage the commercial budget for responsible resource allocation.
    • Lead a high-performing team: Coach, mentor, and inspire a dynamic sales team for optimal performance and career development.

    Requirements

    • Experience working within a similar role, leading a successful sales team,
    • In-depth knowledge of the fresh produce industry,
    • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets within a high-pressure environment,
    • Prior experience negotiating and closing contracts with national retailers,
    • Strong rapport building skills,
    • Demonstrable initiative-taking and innovative problem-solving abilities,
    • Skilled negotiator with commercial and financial acumen,
    • Fluent Dutch and English skills, any additional European languages would be beneficial.
