You will work as a Strategic Buyer responsible for the EMEA market within Johnson Controls, a dynamic and international role where you report to the Senior Procurement Manager EMEA.

You will become part of a great Procurement team based in Echt and in Letchworth (United Kingdom).
You will get a lot of responsibility and you can work independently. But also a role in which there is room for personal development.

You work from our office in Echt and or in Susteren, however, in consultation, partial working from home is also possible for this role.

Selection and sourcing of suppliers. Negotiate with the most suitable suppliers about the purchasing, Legal and logistical conditions. Where applicable, you do this together in a team with key stakeholders for the relevant product groups such as Product Management and Category Management (European or worldwide)
Take ownership of continuous improvement initiatives to improve cost and supplier performance
Continuous monitoring of possibilities to achieve efficiency improvements, but also detecting potential risks is part of your tasks
Making spend analyses, benchmarking studies and conducting market research
Strive to deliver annual cost savings
Challenge both suppliers and the organization to arrive at the most optimal solution for the supply and/or development of parts and end products
You play an important role in the growth and development of the department and the company. Together with the other team members you help to achieve our common goals, in particular those focusing on customer satisfaction, supply base improvements and cost reduction
Requirements
At least three years of strategic procurement and sourcing experience, preferably in Building Technology and or Technical products Wholesale activities
Familiar with MS Office, experienced in Excel
You are proactive, well organized, independent, dynamic and a great team player
Analytical minded
Strong and commercial negotiator
Communicative skills
Focus on details and quality
Proficient in Dutch, German and English, both verbally and in writing
Preferably
Bachelor, in the field of Supply Chain (e.g. NEVI) or Operations Management
Work experience at a multinational
Living within a maximum radius of 50 km around Echt
