Your key responsibilities:

As our Plant Maintenance & Reliability Functional Lead, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Being an expert for all kind of Maintenance & Equipment Reliability related functional aspects, organization, process, and tooling (including User Interface).
  • Refining and discussing the business demand, captured in the Product Backlog with digital experts, SMEs from the business and the Product Owner.
  • Defining user requirements and translate them to functional requirements, steering and guiding the cross functional teams regarding implementation of digital solutions to improve Plant Maintenance and MRO (spare parts) processes and all the related solution areas like: SAP PM/MRO, ABAP, Mendix, API/webMethods, Authorizations, MD, Integrations (PtP, FICO) etc.
  • Executing the "technical" triage to determine high vs medium and low change track and ensure early involvement of solution architect and needed expertise roles (GxP, security etc.) in case of high impact changes.
  • Understand the functional solution of the demand but also the technical solution/impact.
  • Analyzing data from Plant Maintenance systems to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Providing technical support to Digital Plant Maintenance teams to ensure systems are operating effectively.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Plant Maintenance processes and digital systems.
  • Train Plant Maintenance teams on new digital systems and processes.

You bring:


  • Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience in Plant Maintenance and/or Reliability, including the digital side as well as the shopfloor.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of Plant Maintenance and Equipment Reliability systems and processes: MRO (spare parts), and Integration aspects: Purchase to Pay and Finance and Control.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with digital solutions such as CMMS and EAM, specifically SAP PM.
  • Good understanding of integration with external softwares e.g. Mendix platform, WebMethods, ODL, Unite-X etc.
  • Good knowledge of SAP & S4-HANA (Plant Maintenance module and its integration with other modules)
  • Deep knowledge of MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management), MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and Project Management.
  • Experience in managing a team of technical & functional consultants as well as managing RFIs / RFPs for software implementation from external vendors.
  • Experience of working in Agile environments and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and consulting mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility regarding mobility and traveling.
