The sparkling Hotel Atlantis in the vibrant De Pijp district is eagerly seeking a new Hotel Manager Situated in the bustling De Pijp neighborhood, our cozy 52-room hotel offers a unique experience. Since March 1, 2023, our hotel has been part of the Highland Group, a dedicated family business that owns six successful hotels in the heart of Amsterdam. Our mission is to provide personal attention to both our guests and employees.

Each hotel within the Highland Group has its own identity and target audience. The Atlantis Hotel, inspired by the mythical lost city, effortlessly combines modern comfort with historical charm.

An extensive renovation is scheduled for the end of this year, transforming our hotel into one of the trendiest and most beautiful destinations in the area.

Although our hotel will undergo renovation later this year, innovative ideas to enhance the guest experience at this moment are more than welcome and necessary.

For this, we are looking for a manager who is driven to take the level of service to unprecedented heights and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves.

What will you do as Hotel Manager?

Your role revolves around creating a great and motivated team, elevating our level of service, ensuring a fresh and clean environment, and addressing any technical issues.

You are the driving force behind delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests, and you know better than anyone how to maintain the highest standards in customer service.

At the same time, you ensure that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently, while also exceeding our financial objectives.


Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• As hotel manager, you bear ultimate responsibility for the overall performance of the hotel.
• You forecast revenue for both the short and long term.
• Leading a team of approximately eight to ten enthusiastic employees is part of your responsibilities.
• Managing all administrative tasks, including checking (group) reservations, falls under your purview.
• Together with the revenue manager, you work on a strategic pricing policy and implement yield management.
• You are responsible for procurement activities and inventory management.
• In collaboration with housekeeping and the technical department, you ensure that rooms and public areas remain in top condition.
• You maintain the website and social media accounts to ensure that all information is correct and up to date.
• You regularly report financial results to the management, on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
• If necessary, you provide operational support to the team.

What do we ask of you at Hotel Atlantis?

• Demonstrable experience in a managerial role in the hotel or hospitality industry, preferably as a Hotel Manager.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively work with various stakeholders.
• Fluency in speaking and writing English; knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and facilities management.
• Proven ability to achieve and exceed financial objectives.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic and demanding environment, including weekends and holidays.
• A degree in hotel management or a related field is a plus.
