    The opportunity

    You will get a real understanding of how a bank functions. Next to that, you have the opportunity of making a difference to the bank through real improvements.

    You will be exposed to finance processes, deal with diverse stakeholders, and hone your skills of planning, analysis, persuasion and communication.

    The team

    Finance Business Advice (FBA) is a partner to the business that supports and guides in achieving its targets. FBA's work is based on three pillars (1) Setting bank-wide financial targets through a three-year plan, (2) Tracking those targets through management reports and (3) Providing financial advice and recommendations for initiatives that support achieving those targets

    FBA is organized in 5 teams mirroring the overall organization - 2 responsible for the business lines, 2 responsible for the functional lines, and the fifth responsible for comprehensive bank-wide view.

    Roles and responsibilities

    The work for the intern is designed in such a way that they develop knowledge about the banking market and the strategy of the business, develop an understanding of the day-to-day work of the department, and make an impact to the bank through innovation / improvement / change initiative(s).

    With the above goals in sight, the work is structured as follows

    1. Understand the processes and content of approx. 4 distinct products and functions.

    2. Document the relevant process/ data flows

    3. Develop improvement / automation ideas to make the processes / content more usable

    4. The ideas should lead to better efficiencies and business decisions

    5. Prepare an implementation Plan

    6. Implement the Plan

    Note that it is important to understand the content (the products and functions) and its relevance to business decisions before Step 3 is performed.

  • Master or Bachelor (third-year) student
  • Strong interest in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business Administration
  • Strong communication skills
  • High ambition and energy level
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset
  • Project management skills
  • Fluency in business English
  • Comfort with MS Office (Excel, PPT, VBA); knowledge of programming an advantageRewards & benefits
