Job Title

The Commercial Ammonia Business Development Director for Bunkering and Energy will report directly to the Global Vice President of Commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and deliver commercially related projects in Europe for Low Carbon Ammonia
• Develop and execute the Low Carbon Ammonia strategy and business plan for Europe's energy and bunkering market
• Originate and execute on full gamut of business development opportunities, with special focus on infrastructure and supply chain development projects to underpin the commercial and trading business in Europe
• Provide guidance and support for product certifications for Low Carbon Ammonia to enable market sales
• Interfacing continuously with targeted new partners to ensure OCI has continuous insight into the Ammonia clients and targeted business lines
• Key OCI lead representative for working groups of external associations and councils to drive industry standards, processes, and advocacies for Low Carbon Ammonia, and new ammonia uses mainly in bunkering and energy
• Engage Ammonia cracking, gas turbines, co-firing and more technical players to get updates on technology progress and identify potential end users
• Support the Ammonia team on pricing strategies including assessment of projects, equity stake and offtakes
• Establish long term contracts with customers and logistics providers for ammonia
• Work closely and coordinate with the ammonia business in Europe

Operational Responsibilities:

• Lead a proactive, collaborative, and communicative process to select, manage, establish strong partnerships and relationships with external counterparties and internal stakeholders
• For projects, ensure cost, quality requirements, delivery, reliability performance while achieving both tactical and strategic goals
• Learn and gather new information from market and effective communications of these market information to internal teams and senior management, with the help of internal & relevant external market intelligence and analysis resources
• Internal bridge of Low Carbon Ammonia to Methanol fuels to ensure synergies in internal processes, sustainability alignment and interface with external market
• Manage the database for competition, technologies, new projects and opportunities
• Manage tools to simulate value proposition against other energy sources including the benefit from regulation

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering or Finance or other related fields
• Minimum 5 years' experience in international commercial roles in ammonia and/or related chemicals/fuel/power products
• Excellent prior BD track record, demonstrating value creation
• Experience with both physical storage, logistics and production
• Strong European industry network and relationships
• Thrive in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
• Able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Engaging and inclusive leader
• English fluent, second or third language would be an added advantage
• Location- Preferred in NL, other location can be considered

Skills

• Strong passion in driving low carbon initiatives particularly in the power generation and marine market segments
• Ideally have been involved in studies and projects on feedstock transition to Ammonia and/or Hydrogen, and/or Ammonia cracking to Hydrogen for uses in power and the shipping / marine industry
• Strong global industry network and relationships throughout the value chain
• Able to thrive in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
• Able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
