The work of carpenters is often asfollows:

• Repairing and fittingdoors, floors, frames, roofs, stairs, ceilings, walls, window sillsand/or other (wooden) structures
• Studyingsketches, drawings, specifications and building plans inpreparation for actual carpentry work
• Checkingthe soundness and condition of existing constructions (e.g. usingspirit level and square)
• Determining dimensionsand distances using tools such as measuring tape, pencil, foldingrule and chalk
• Cutting wooden boards and beamsto size using (power) tools
• Fastening buildingmaterials together using nails, screws, bolts,etc.
• Finishing joints and seams (e.g. withskirting boards or sealant)

In this position at this company, you willmainly be disassembling and reassembling wooden crates (fortransport of large high-tech parts) on a daily basis. You will dothis on the basis of technical drawings andguidelines.
