About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Sustainable Fixed Income (SFI) team as a Senior Analyst, EU Taxonomy. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the methodology and guidance supporting our Second-Party Opinion (SPO) services, focusing on SFI's assessment of alignment with the EU Taxonomy.

As a key member of the team, you will provide on-demand support to our SPO team regarding project-related queries, ensuring that our guidance remains robust, well-documented, and up-to-date. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our guidance is systematically updated and maintained in a timely manner, responding to market and technical developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Closely follow regulatory developments related to the EU Financial Action Plan, specifically the EU Taxonomy and EU Green Bond Standard, to ensure that our SPO services remain informed by relevant regulation and guidance.
• Develop and maintain guidance supporting our SPO assessment of the alignment of bonds/loans with the EU Taxonomy, and provide training related to such guidance.
• Provide on-demand support to our SPO team regarding project-related queries.
• Develop expertise in sustainable debt financing, including current and emerging trends, issues, drivers, risks, and opportunities, key players, best practices, and the regulatory landscape.
• Develop sustainability knowledge and expertise across various themes and sectors, preparing well-written and high-quality research.
• Liaise with and develop relationships with colleagues across global teams and offices.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A passion for sustainability and demonstrated interest in sustainable finance.
• A Bachelor's degree in Sustainability/Environment/Climate Change/Social Science; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Expertise and relevant work experience related to the EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan and regulatory developments in the EU are considered an asset.
• Strong research skills and ability to analyze and interpret data/information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. Our hybrid work environment allows you to work remotely and collaborate in-person each week.
