Managing water is increasingly important for industriesaround the world. Water resource quality, water andenergy savings, water reuse, energy recovery fromeffluents and sludge, and micropollutant treatment: all ofthese issues come into play. Nijhuis Saur Industriesoperates in different sectors, with an emphasis on food,chemicals and pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals,infrastructures - including commercial buildings - andrenewable energy. We apply the latest technologies inorder to optimize the water cycle and water footprint of ourcustomers. To accomplish this, we are looking intosustainable treatment technologies, often includingelectrochemical treatments, as well as exploring andimplementing measures to improve the energy efficiency ofwater and wastewater treatment plants.

YOUR GOAL The goal of this internship is to investigate the possibilitiesto optimize energy efficiency of wastewater treatmentplants. You will conduct a series of laboratory experimentsas part of the technical study. The evaluation of energyconsumption will be part of the economic evaluation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR In general, motivation and curiosity is the only requirement. Working in NSI will give you the space to grow in a specific topic and find out how a big organization works with very different departments and disciplines for one final goal: To implement optimal Water technology solutions for different industries

As an intern from the Technology & Innovation department, you will take on challenging and important projects along with Process Design Engineers and R&D engineers. You will run a project with your supervisor and a larger team located in Doetinchem and/or other locations (if applicable).
