Being at the base of building your product categoryOver onze klantOur client is a leading player in the field of transport, management anddistribution systems for high-purity gases and liquids, with a strongposition in the European high-tech industry. They serve the semiconductor,aerospace, chemical & pharmaceutical industry.FunctieomschrijvingYou also ensure a supply base that matches our NPI projects andstrategic initiatives (pre-industrialization). You pay close attention todevelopments in the market and the needs of our customers. From your roleas a strong negotiator and relationship manager, you have regular contactwith our partners (e.g. suppliers), existing and new suppliers that fitthis strategy. This is what you will do:Defining and implementing a relevant product category strategy;The pre-selection of the right suppliers in line with the strategySupplier development programs (ensuring lasting competitiveadvantages);Strategic business reviews with key suppliers (technological roadmap,supply chain development, long-term relationship, etc.)Leads contract negotiations and formalization of specific productswithin the approved supplier list;Tender roadmap implementation for non-strategic suppliers (lowest totalcost approach);Supplier Performance Evaluation according to predefined KPI on QLTCS(Quality, Logistics, Technology, Costs, Sustainability)Representation of Purchasing in complex internal projects;Participates in supplier audits where necessary and carefully monitorssupplier KPIs in close collaboration with the Quality Department andTactical BuyerProfielYou are a communicative purchasing specialist with proven expertise insourcing mechanical and/or electrical components. You can (of course)negotiate well and have a strong affinity with the commercial aspects of acompany. You easily switch between and with suppliers, products andcustomers and know how to take initiative.
