Junior Product Costing Analyst

Finance plays an important role within our organization, as we are acting a central hub for many.

Every employee in our team plays is crucial in connecting different departments; from Production to Supply Chain and all commercial departments that revolve around this.

The Finance department also ensures that data is accurate and complex business calculations are made. Various results are analyzed every month to provide the resulting conclusions back to the business. We do this to increase profitability in the future.

This is what your fresh start as a Junior Product Costing Analyst will look like:

In this role, you will support the Product Cost Analyst in improving the comprehension of Perfetti Van Melle Europe's overall cost performance and act as an operational partner for the Plan & Deliver Hub, as well as the Business Unit Supply Chain and Commerce.

You are going to assist in delivering timely reporting of actuals, providing visibility in to business performance and drivers, and managing the budget and forecast of the COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) planning process (product costing).

This role reports to the Product Cost Analyst and is part of our European Finance team.

Your core tasks in a nutshell:

Managing timely calculation of COGS to support the regional planning process. Analyzing and validating cost components to ensure accuracy and completeness of cost calculations.

Supporting the control of logistic costs for PVM Europe by providing recurring insights in actual spends versus planned spends for inbound transport, warehousing and co-packing. Support the Product Cost Analyst in challenging the P&D spend.

Monitoring cost variances and investigating discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Supporting the maintaining cost price Data Base for PVM Europe. Ensuring completeness and accuracy through controls/checks. Ensure permanent integrity of the database with updates.
