    Mammoet offers you, as Senior Marine Engineer, a challenging position within an international, dynamic, and ever-changing organization. With your readily available, in-depth technical knowledge and experience in marine projects, you will become one of the specialists within the team. As a Senior Marine Engineer, you are part of our Marine Transport & Offshore Engineering department within Mammoet. You support the engineering department and others by providing advice about various marine engineering related subjects. Within Mammoet you are the link between the (technical) preparation and implementation on a project. In this position you will be reporting to the Team Leader Marine Engineering.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    In your role as Senior Marine Engineer you will use your in-depth knowledge and experience to support projects and colleagues worldwide. In parallel you will contribute to maintaining and developing the marine engineering knowledge and experience within the Mammoet Global engineering community.

    In your role you will:

    1. Take ownership over the task at hand and align scope and expectations with internal customers like: Project Managers and Lead Engineers involved in the project;
    2. Work on complex Marine Engineering projects by performing specific marine analysis like: Sea-fastening design; Motion analyses, Stability analyses and Mooring analyses;
    3. Have regular technical meetings with external customers to obtain the necessary information and to ensure our technical solution is meeting their requirements;
    4. Prepare design bases and specifications for new projects and designs;
    5. Check and approve complex engineered solutions in the form of calculation reports and drawings from others, verifying if the right methods and/or equipment are used;
    6. On a regular basis, attend project locations to provide on-site engineering support;
    7. Provide guidance and further develop Engineers within your discipline;
    8. Pro-actively search for opportunities to improve ways of working.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Bachelor or Master's degree in, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineer, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

    10 years of engineering experience in the heavy transport (maritime) industry including international job site experience for multiple years;

    Advanced understanding of marine engineering, operations and standards;

    Interested to contribute to the level of knowledge within the Mammoet Global engineering community;

    Fluent proficiency in English, both verbal and in writing;

    Open minded and strong communication skills;

    Willingness to travel as per project requirements;

    Experience with Mooring-, Stability- and Motion analysis software is preferred.
