    Overview

    Description Are you passionate about guiding top software companies in the BeNeLux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) area in their global innovation and acceleration? Do you want to help our customers adopt agile operation models, build modern SaaS architectures, and help them be at the forefront of their Generative AI transformation?

    As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you'll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey. The role is based in Amsterdam.

    Responsibilities
    • Manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.
    • Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, participate in architectural discussions, and ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
    • Build and maintain the technical relationship with customers as their trusted advisor; align guidance with the best interests of the customer.
    • Be the voice of the customer internally, sharing needs to inform the AWS features roadmap.
    • Participate in creating and sharing best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g., whitepapers, code samples, blog posts); evangelize and educate about AWS through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences.
    • Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
    • Develop depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes.
    Day-to-day and Team

    You will have the opportunity to work with account managers to help customers accelerate their cloud implementation and modernize their business on AWS. You will design modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using native and partner solutions. The AWS Solutions Architecture team focuses on Enterprise customers and helping them design scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • Experience in a major technology area such as Compute, Storage, Database, Developer Tools, Machine Learning, Security or IoT
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field
    • Experience or certifications in API design, cloud architecture/deployment, service-oriented architecture, mobile development, performance optimization, databases design and related fields
    • Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures
    • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
    • Experience in oral and written communication in English

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with enterprise-scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects in a related industry
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud computing such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
    • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
    • Experience creating and delivering written and oral communications for technical and non-technical audiences
    • Experience with cloud native technologies
    • Experience working in a customer-facing environment
