    You can be part of our team As the Continuous Improvement Lead at Damen Naval, you will be responsible for the execution and optimization of continuous improvement quality assurance (QA) processes and procedures in each of our naval shipbuilding projects.

    You oversee, advise, and report about quality issues related to the project(s) you are assigned to.

    When an issue is identified, you initiate a root-cause analysis to identify the non-conformities and update the overall quality policy and standards to prevent reoccurrence and achieve continuous improvement.

    Coordinating the continuous improvement processes and foster a quality mindset in each shipbuilding project.
    Ensuring quality management principles, protocols, and processes are correctly applied.
    Leading the Project Quality team.
    Updating project management about the quality assurance status and incident mitigations.
    Liaising with the Government Quality Assurance Representative (GQAR) and providing all QA information.
    To excel as the Continuous Improvement Lead, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
    ~5+ years of experience in (ISO 9001) Quality Management, preferably acquired in the naval, defense or shipbuilding industry.
    ~ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Business Administration, Maritime Technology or Shipbuilding.
    ~ Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.
    ~ Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
