The internship opportunity

As an intern in Perfetti van Melle's Group Business Intelligence team, you will be able to develop your skillset and insights into the world of data.

Our Business Intelligence team supports our Group Commercial roles to have the appropriate data and insights for analysis and strategic decision-making by combining various types of data sources.

Within this team, you will support amongst others with setting up semi-automated presentation / chart solutions, updating of PowerBI dashboards on structural intervals, running data checks and validations, making simple data extracts to support different global teams and updating PPT presentations on structural intervals.

Additionally we have an interesting project that you can use either as part of a large research, like a thesis or as a smaller assignment in the field of AI Integration and implementation:

AI integration research: Scout the market and present back solutions on how AI can be applied into Insights creation and make data analytics and insights faster and better.
AI solution implementation: when you find a fantastic solution (or a couple of them) that can add strong value to the business in the field of data analytics and insights, you'll be the one driving its implementation.

During this internship, you have an opportunity to master working with large data-sets, combine and analyze data, work with PowerBI and build actionable insights presentations.

You can also use the insights from this internship to write a thesis on the topic of how AI can benefit businesses with the data analytics and insights creation.

What team will you be a part of?

You will be part of our BI team, which is part of our Customer Insights team and you will report to our BI & CA Assistant Manager.

Our Customer Insights team exists to ensure data can be properly used for organizational decision making.

What we are looking for:

You are looking for a third or fourth year internship (thesis students are welcome too) as a student for at least 24 weeks at a Dutch HBO/University
Your studies are in the area of data/IT/business/digitization and you have a strong personal interest in data and AI
You have strong English skills as this is the main language in our business
You are eager and proactive: you approach people easily, are eager to pick up work and new projects for your development and you are not afraid to ask for help when needed
